Spring Break Day 3

This whole waking up at 11 everyday is throwing me off. However, I was exited to open the fridge here at my sisters and see the stuff from Einstein's Bagels.

I had a 9 grain bagel which was very seedy. It would have been pretty boring with regular cream cheese, but I remembered my mom picked a different kind this time.

I have only ever had regular cream cheese because I don't like fruit, however, I just discovered my new favorite spread. The honey almond smear they carry is amazing!!! It is delightfully lightly sweetened as opposed to the tartness of regular cream cheese (ew) and there were a couple of lumps from almonds.

Plus, it finally felt like spring break today. It actually got to be over 60 degrees so I tried to suntan a little after lunch. Sadly, I didn't know that the medication I started a couple of months ago makes my skin sensitive to sun. I got a burn in less than an hour and my arms and face has been itchy sense.
But, my dog was sure happy that we spent time out there.

For dinner I was craving pizza, so I just went with a Red Baron Deep Dish Single.

Statistics Final Day

So my final exam for statistics was rough, but hey, I am done! I am itching to see how I did.
Anyway I did get some yummy food today.
For lunch, my dad took me to Arby's. Gotta love their value menu.

This used to be my favorites fast food, but after not eating fast food much lately, I realize how not great it is... Oh well.
I also gave my little bud Gino a bath today.

Then, I told my mom I wanted to go to my favorite bakery. Delphina's is the only place around that I know of to find a plain/cream scone. They are almost always sold out, but today they have one left!
I wish I could find more places that carry something like them, like a grocery store or somewhere closer. I have tried making them but it is so hard.

Plus, yesterday at the dollar store my sister spotted these and had to get these.
They are the Jelly Belly factory mistakes, also called Belly Flops. We love to have her give me the flavors and I close my eyes and guess.

Later, I was not feeling well when the rest of my family was shopping so I read in the car :(
But, on a bathroom break on Starbucks I decided to get a little something. I had only ever had their plain bagel that I didn't like, but I saw a multigrain one today.

The Starbucks multigrain bagel is amazing! There are lots of seeds, flax, and whatever other good stuff in there.

Once it was toasted and a dollop of cream cheese was applied, I gobbled it up. YUM!

Grab and Go Breakfast Snacks

In the midst of week 9 out of 10 in this term, I am quite tired and ready for a break. So on a morning like this, I woke up rather late and had to grab a breakfast to eat in the car. However, I actually kind of enjoy this when I have good snacks in the house.
The first thing I had were Lance Toasty Real Peanut Butter and Crackers.

I can't even explain the obsession I have with these. I love that the cracker is buttery and flaky without being greasy. Also, the peanut butter is not chunky or creamy, it has a slight gritty texture which is different, but good. Plus, Lance says they use no preservatives (which I don't know exactly what this means, but it sounds good to me).

I reached into my big tub of granola bars for something a little sweet. Today I felt like a Clif Kid's Z Bar Iced Oatmeal Cookie.

When first opened, I can smell that inviting smell of oatmeal cookies. The bar is very sweet but has a nice spice zing like that of a real oatmeal cookie. The texture of the bar is chewy with a couple thin oats, plus there are a couple of white chocolate chips thrown in! Plus, there is a little decoration with the white icing stripes on top that makes it look more appetizing.

Last, I walked up to Gino just now when he was dead asleep, he looked absolutely hilarious. I said his name so he would perk up a little for a pic. :)

I Just Assemble Dinner

At this point in my life, being a college student that is too lazy to do much more that my school work  (but believe me, I do work very hard on my studies), I have come to the conclusion that I like quick assembly dinners. Nothing fancy, just throw a few of my favorite simple flavors together and see how they roll.
So I had this on my mind at Trader Joe's today.
First I saw White Corn Tortillas and I thought they looked like a fun wrap. So, I went over to the beans and their refried beans were salsa style, so I though ew, chunks. I decided to go for some Black beans and see how that worked. Next, gotta have some cheese, and I thought, gotta stick with ease so went for some slices and the bright Colby Jack stood out.
I threw them together and thought easy enough.

After three heats in the microwave, and a flip from soggy undersides onto a different plate, these little taco wannabes were quite good! Most people probably would not find them to be enough flavor, however, I am no cook so I wouldn't even know what kind of spices to throw in.
Oh well.

Also, I thought I would share with you the looks I was getting from Gino a little while ago, as this is the look I get when he is liking my scratches.

And when I stop, he gets even cuter. How could I say no to this face? :)
(Don't worry, right after taking the picture I gave him lots of pets)

Typical Dinner

Once again, what was cooking for dinner burned. Haha.

The pulled pork in the crock pot that smelled like sweet barbecue goodness, now has quite a bitter aftertaste. Since this is a common occurrence in m family, they all decided to eat it anyway. On the other hand, I decided to have one of my favorite mini meals from Trader Joe's.

Trader Joe's Organic Microwaveable White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese

It is so easy as it is just a packet of noodles with water for three minutes in the macrowave, then add the cheese mix stir, and sit for a minute to thicken. This stuff is addicting. The flavor is very light and does not have that fake cheese flavor. Plus, to be healthier (even though many don't find a microwave meal anywhere near healthy) they use wheat noodles, and it is not the funky orange color. Basically, I could sit and eat 4 bowls of this at once.

Overall, I was actually kind of happy the meat burned.
And so was Gino. I had to share a couple of noodles with him :)

Gino!

I am proud to introduce my main man Gino.
Responds to: Gino, Stinky, Boy, Pooter, Her.

Loves: cheese, cereal, cats, going bye bye in the car, getting his picture taken.
He is quite a model.

Hates: being alone, when people don't share their peanut butter toast, mornings.

As you can see, he does not like being woken up.
