Midweek Fun...

Well, I started my art history class today and it was not too bad, it was slightly interesting. The problem is that the teacher moves so dang fast with so much information thrown at you at once. Oh well, all I can do is try. However, my philosophy class is pretty cool.

This afternoon I was feeling kind of "blah" again and I saw some overripe bananas on the counter. So of course I whipped up a banana bread. It was not pretty enough to take a picture.
For dinner, I was not in the mood for burgers with the rest of my family so I had a Chicken Rice-a-Roni and a chicken breast cut into pieces. Yum.

Afterwards, my mom showed up with some Lofthouse cookies as they were on sale from easter. I have not had these in years. They were doughy, floury, and too sweet, just like I remembered and still love.

I had to have one of each color of course :)

Oh and recently, the kitty at my sister's house has found his new favorite spot...
Howie is so funny. He licks absolutely everything.

Terrible Morning

So Kerby and I get to the parking garage at school and find it full which means we have to be on the hunt for street parking. We found a spot but it was only an hour long which meant that it would only go until 10:50 even though we had class until 12:15. We decided that since I had a break in my classes from 10:50 to 11, I would move the car.
But, it did not go as planned... I was circling for parking until 11:40...
I was 45 minutes late to the first day of class! How does that reflect on me? I hate being late.

After class, I was not in a good mood so my sister said, let's stop for pizza. I was like 'Yeah!'.
It was a great idea, until I heated the slices up in the oven and slightly burned them (typically).

Last, to end the day I decided it was a cookie baking kind of day so I went for some oatmeal cookies. The scent definitely made me forget. Doesn't the smell of fresh baked cookies make everyone happy? :)

Spring Break Day 1

Mondays are normally the worst day of the week due to it being the kickstart of the work week. But not during spring break :)
I woke up this morning thinking I was going to just drown in oatmeal whilst staying home all day.
But no...
Mom took me to Einstein's Bagels! (I know I should be old enough to do my own thing but I don't want to go alone)

I had a pizza bagel, which was an asiago bagel with sauce and mozzarella. When I looked at it, my heart sunk due to how bad it looked. But then I took a giant bite... YUM!

Plus at the check out I spied a cookie, as always.

An iced sugar cookie and tea in the afternoon is wonderful! (But then I followed it with pretzel sticks, peanuts, jelly beans, and reese's piece... so I had a little tummy ache)

But, I didn't feel to bad to skip out on Spaghetti Factory. We go there all the time but it never gets old.

In addition to the classic bread I had some minestrone soup.

Then I had just plain spaghetti with marinara and it was sweet and delicious.
I forgot to take a picture of my rainbow sherbet but it was kind of a melty, light brown mess. Not photogenic, but nicely tart.

Oh, and amongst my travels I saw these cookies and thought of how gross they look. I cannot even imagine how green one's mouth would be afterwards...

Slump Day

It's the middle of the week, I am not too excited for my classes next term, and I really wish I had the courage to get a job.
For classes, I settled with Sustainability, Spanish, Philosophy, and Criminology/Criminal Justice. I wish I could have added a health class too but it was later in the day, it would cost more money, and that would really take out my wish for a job.

Anyways, I had to wake up early for registration to be sure I got what I wanted, so then I went back to bed for a little nap... Which ended up kind of long, so I had some another grab-and-go style breakfast.

(However, I have decided that I am going to post all of the things that I eat during the day in my day posts, but my reviews of snacks in other posts.)
This morning I choose yet another Lance Sandwich Crackers and a granola bar, but these two were both new to me.

First I devoured some Lance ToastChee Crackers with Real Peanut Butter.

Next, I needed a little sweet to calm the saltiness from the crackers and I ate a FiberPlus Antioxidants Chocolate Chip Chewy Bar, which ended up overcompensating the saltiness.

Last I went to a long day of class, even though two and a half hours is not long, today it felt like it. This was because during the walks I have to take before and in between my classes, it was pouring so it was a wet and cold day. When my sister, Kerby, and I got back, we just wanted to get in some comfy sweats, watch tv, and have a warm lunch (plus I had a cup of tea).
This picture doesn't look appetizing, but it was a waffle fries and Trader Joe's Macaroni and Cheese kind of day. Plus I got caught up on Dance Moms.

Once I reenergized, Kerby wanted cookies, and I thought, why not bake? So I whipped up the easiest kind I know like the back of my hand.

Warm Russian Tea Cakes out of the oven are perfectly comforting on a rainy day.

After working on my online class all afternoon, while watching tv, the day just flew by. However, my grandma brought be a slice of pizza.

I love Pizzicato Cheese Pizza because it is plain and gooey, plus they swear to use only good and healthy ingredients, which is a plus in my book. (This picture does not do it justice though as I picked off some tomato chunks before remembering to take a pic...)

Now I am going to call it a night and watch the classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with some cookies.

It was a Wonderful Day 1

Who new that the first real day of my new blogging aspiration would actually be kind of interesting. I had some bloggable snacks and went shopping :)

First of all, I began my day with a greek yogurt I had never tried before which I always get soooo excited when I have a new one.
It was Voskos Honey and Vanilla bean and when I opened it, there were actual little beans in there! Anyways, it was a little more honey flavor than I would of liked, but overall it was pretty good with a rich, thick texture.

After classes, and a quick lunch I threw together, I had to go pick up the new glasses I ordered for my birthday. I completely forgot what they looked like, so I was kind of nervous.
But then I remembered, how could I have gone wrong with Kate Spade on sale? The lower ones are the Lucyann, black, with cute, pink stripes on the inside. The top ones are tortoise shell Regine. Their pink case was even adorable with the lurking eyes on the inside.

While we were already out, my mom had to return some clothes to JC Penney, so we headed over to the mall. I had never been there but who knew they had such a good clearance section?!

I ended up with a skirt, tights, three shirts, five tank tops, jeans and this neat, simple black dress. Not a bad little shopping haul if you ask me, especially since everything was $10 or less!

After all of this, I had to dig into the cookie I got at the little store on campus.

Fairlight Bakery makes a delightful Vanilla Frosted Cookie with Rainbow Sprinkles. Not only is it pretty to look at. It tastes devine. The frosting is dry and crumbly, which may sound odd, but it is a complementary texture to the melt in your mouth cookie, and neither overpower each other. Trust me, it was big, and it was gone fast.

Now, I have to prepare for my Statistics, Spanish, and Sociology midterms tomorrow with a couple pieces of cheesy goodness for dinner.
